Our Facilities

With a desire to create a facility where genuine community can be effected, The Salvation Army Lake Community Church Centre provides a place where community groups and residents can meet to deepen and broaden relationships in a friendly, accessible environment.

The Centre is the first stage of a three staged development for the property. Stage 2 includes indoor rock climbing and abseiling walls, indoor skateboard park and a multi-use sports space. Stage 3 incorporates a training venue, able to accommodate up to 700 people, but can be broken down to smaller sizes as required.

Stage One includes two meeting rooms, a function room, conference room, community services (financial, family, personal and relationship counselling, emergency food provisioning, etc), Room 19 Cafe and children's playground. The two meeting rooms and function room are available for hire.

Room 19 is a space available for use by anyone wanting to "hang", enjoy something from the Gloria Jeans coffees menu or a light snack. It is adjacent to the fully fenced children's playground, allowing parents to enjoy a coffee whilst their children enjoy the playground.

Whilst the centre is used in a formal way (by hiring different spaces) by a variety of community participants including RSL, Kumon, Variety AllStars Talent School, Forest Lake Photography Club, Weight Watchers and Forest Lake Community Playgroup, it is accessed informally, primarily through Room 19, by Forest Lake residents of all ages throughout the week.

Come along and enjoy some coffee and cake, and explore the Centre for yourself.
